Phil has been repairing vehicles for more than 45 years. He always wanted to be a mechanic. He took vocational automotive classes at Chantilly High School and auto courses at NOVA Community College. He has turned wrenches at various independent repair shops in the Northern Virginia area for years before opening Fleet Authority. This history provided valuable experience as a master technician specializing in bus and truck repairs. Eventually, he transitioned into shop management. He has handled repairs on several major transit systems including Fastran, the Connector Bus, and TRIPS. Phil was inducted into the AUTOMOTIVE HALL OF FAME by the Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and the Automotive Service Industry Association (ASIA) on April 03, 1990. This designation is bestowed upon only those mechanics who are the best of the best. This award earned him the designation of "World Class Technician". At one point, Phil was certified in literally every ASE designation that existed. He is considered both a MASTER TRUCK and MASTER AUTOMOBILE technician. He has been a Virginia State Safety Inspector for over 38 years. The Better Business Bureau invited him to serve as a technical expert during arbitration and court cases between disgruntled consumers and other independent shops. If you bring your vehicle to Fleet Authority for repairs, rest assured that quality service will be provided. Phil has high standards for the repairs performed at Fleet Authority. It doesn't leave the shop without his stamp of satisfaction and approval.
